Wouldn't it be great if a mobile web page could just adapt to what is in front of the device, simply by pointing the phone towards it? We think so. As a world's first, 13th Lab brings blazingly fast image recognition to a standard webkit browser, letting a normal HTML/JavaScript web page understand and react to what is in front of it.
PointCloud is about taking computer vision to the browser, not the other way around. We expose powerful computer vision functionality such as super fast detection and tracking of images as simple JavaScript APIs, right in the standard web kit browser.
All you need to do as a developer is to add some JavaScript hooks to your already existing web pages and you’re good to go. Since PointCloud is a standard webkit browser, there are no special steps needed to get started. No API keys, no registration, you just build a web site and load it up in the PointCloud browser.
The PointCloud Browser documentation is available here.
